Introdução: A Leishmaniose Visceral Humana (LVH) é uma doença
endêmica no Brasil. Os cães são os principais reservatórios da LVH no
ambiente doméstico, embora bovinos, caprinos, ovinos e equídeos,
encontrados nas áreas urbanizadas no nordeste brasileiro, sejam
considerados como potenciais reservatórios para a leishmaniose
