Resumen en portugues
A doença de Chagas é uma doença tropical negligenciada causada pelo Trypanosoma cruzi . Os atuais medicamentos utilizados no tratamento da doença de Chagas apresentam eficácia limitada e estão associados com a presença de efeitos colaterais graves. Portanto, torna-se necessária a identificação de novas moléculas com boa eficácia contra o parasito e baixa toxicidade para serem utilizadas no tratamento da doença de Chagas.
