O Programa Nacional de Imunização (PNI) foi criado em 1973, no intuito de prevenir, controlar e erradicar doenças infecto-contagiosa e imunopreveníveis. Bem como, melhorar o nível de saúde da população, através de altas coberturas vacinais. Este estudo teve como objetivo descrever o perfil da cobertura vacinal de crianças de zero a um ano de idade no município de Pesqueira-PE. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo exploratório, realizado entre os meses de março a agosto de 2010. A partir de dados secundários de domínio público, oriundos do banco de dados do Programa Nacional de Imunização - PNI do Ministério da Saúde. Considerando a cobertura vacinal nos anos de 2007, 2008 e 2009, Para as vacinas de BCG, Hepatite B, Poliomielite e Rotavírus Através do DATASUS, para os respectivos anos foram encontrados as seguintes coberturas; BCG (121,29 por cento,118,5 por cento,110,8 por cento), para Hepatite B 5,58 pr cento,101,15 por cento,86,01 por cento),Poliomielite (85,40 por cento,99,20 por cento,82,83 por cento),Tetravalente (87,03 por cento,100,44 por cento, 88,84 por cento,e para Rotavirus (62,74 por cento,76,46 por cento,82,56 por cento). A pesquisa mostrou que durante o tempo selecionado para o estudo, este município extrapolou a cobertura vacinal de BCG em mais de 100 por cento de cobertura durante todo o período. Porém, para as vacinas de Hepatite B, poliomielite e tetravalente, ocorreram oscilações percentuais durante todo o tempo estudado, a vacina contra rotavirus, em nenhum ano, o município de Pesqueira atingiu a meta preconizada pelo Ministério da Saúde. Identificou-se que houve dificuldade para o alcance das coberturas vacinais principalmente nos anos de 2007 e 2009
Abstract
The National Immunization Program - PNI was created in 1973 in order to prevent,
control and eradicate diseases and vaccine preventable infectious. As well as
improve the health of the population through high vaccination coverage. This study
aimed to describe the profile of immunization coverage for children from zero to one
year of age in Pesqueira-PE. This is an exploratory descriptive study conducted
between the months of March to August 2010. The secondary data from public
domain from the database of the National Immunization Program - PNI Whereas the
Ministry of Health immunization coverage in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009. For the
BCG vaccine, Hepatitis B, Polio and Rotavirus. Through DATASUS for the respective
years were found the following coverages; BCG (121.29%, 118.5%, 110.8%) for
hepatitis B (85.58%,101.15%, 86.01% ), Poliomyelitis (85.40%, 99.20%, 82.83%),
DTaP-Hib (87.03%, 100.44%, 88.84%), and rotavirus (62.74%,76.46%,82.56%). The
survey showed that during the time selected for the study, extrapolated to the
municipality of BCG vaccination coverage in over 100% coverage throughout the
period. However, for vaccines for hepatitis B, polio and tetravalent, percentages
oscillations occurred during the study period. A vaccine against rotavirus, in any year,
the city of Pesqueira reached the goal set by the Ministry of Saúde.Identificou that it
was difficult to reach of vaccination coverage, especially in the years 2007 and 2009.
