uso do crack.
Abstract
The issue of drug use that, by itself, is already generating numerous controversies seems
to complexify even more, with the entry of the crack in the Brazilian scenario,
generating intense debate in the ideological field. The aim of this study is to
characterize adolescents crack users accompanied by a team of Reference Shares for
Children and Youth Care Alcohol-and Drug map its institutional trajectory and meet
and discuss the care that these young people receive. Therefore, we analyzed data from
medical records of 61 adolescents between 12 and 17 years with reported use of crack,
and semi-structured interviews with some of these young people, those responsible for
them and with professional staff members. According to what was found, the teens in
the sample, including respondents, are derived mostly from a social segment
impoverished, have a history of truancy, come from families where the mother is solely
responsible, have a history care in the child protection agency, has lived on the streets or
in institutional care, as well as moved by different network service Social Assistance. In
addition to the features already mentioned, was also identified that many teens have had
involvement with the drug trade, has suffered death threats, have been involved in
robberies or thefts, and for girls to practice prostitution. Drew attention to the fact that a
nearly equal percentage of girls and boys present participation in drug trafficking. You
could say that most users are teenagers, at least one more drug than crack and that few
of them had already started treatment before being joined by the reference staff. Overall,
this study reveals the existence of a number of vulnerabilities present in the story of the
lives of teenagers, many prior to crack use. We also observed some mismatch between
the expectations of the family, and even the adolescents interviewed, and current
conceptions of mental health care aimed at users of alcohol and other drugs.
Finally, among other things, the results reveal the need for further actions in the
territory, with greater investment in the creation and expansion of teams damage
reducers and office in the streets, and the enhancement of the work already being
undertaken by CAPS AD and CAPSi. Also reaffirm the need for strengthening
intersectoral actions of a, since the situations involving the abuse of crack are crossed
by different issues orders involving the health, welfare, labor, education, among others.
