Os museus de ciências são instituições relevantes para difusão e popularização da ciência, ensino e para formação cidadã. Os museus itinerantes ampliam as ações museais, levando-as a locais muitas vezes distantes dos grandes centros. Um exemplo é o museu itinerante Ciência Móvel, parte do Museu da Vida Fiocruz, que leva sua exposição interativa para o sudeste brasileiro. Apesar dos museus terem como objetivo estarem disponíveis para todos, o público de pessoas com deficiência visual (DV) ainda encontra barreiras que os impede ou dificulta seu acesso inclusivo nessas instituições. Nesse contexto, essa pesquisa busca responder como a acessibilidade e inclusão de pessoas com DV pode ser promovida e/ou facilitada em um museu itinerante de ciências, trazendo para o diálogo as vozes de mediadores do Ciência Móvel e de pessoas com DV que têm interesse pelo tema. Utilizando a metodologia de pesquisa-ação, objetivamos levantar dados através de entrevistas sobre a formação e a capacitação dos mediadores para inclusão de pessoas com DV; investigar a relação dos mediadores com as pessoas com DV e investigar as expectativas de pessoas com deficiência visual em relação à acessibilidade e inclusão ao visitar um museu de ciências. As entrevistas foram gravadas e a análise dos dados realizada foi ancorada na teoria do discurso de Mikhail Bakhtin. Foi observado que a acessibilidade atitudinal é considerada o tipo de acessibilidade mais importante a ser fomentada em museus. A formação dos mediadores para inclusão e acessibilidade de pessoas com deficiência ainda é insuficiente, apesar de ser essencial para esse processo. Portanto, para que as mudanças necessárias para inclusão e acessibilidade de pessoas com deficiência aconteçam de maneira efetiva nesses espaços, as pessoas com deficiência precisam ser ouvidas e ser protagonistas nas ações de formação, bem como, participar dos museus, não apenas como público, mas como parte das equipes.
Abstract
Science museums are relevant institutions for the dissemination and popularization of science, teaching and civic education. Traveling museums expand museum activities, taking them to locations that are often far from large centers. One example is the traveling museum Ciência Móvel, part of the Museu da Vida Fiocruz, which takes its interactive exhibition to southeastern Brazil. Although museums aim to be available to everyone, the public of people with visual impairment (VI) still encounters barriers that prevent or hinder their inclusive access to these institutions. In this context, this research seeks to answer how accessibility and inclusion of people with VI can be promoted and/or facilitated in an itinerant science museum, bringing into dialogue the voices of mediators of Ciência Móvel and people with VI who are interested in the theme. Using the action research methodology, we aimed to collect data through virtual, individual, semi-structured interviews on the training and qualification of mediators for the inclusion of people with VI; investigate the relationship between mediators and people with VI and investigate the expectations of people with visual impairments in relation to accessibility and inclusion when visiting a science museum. The interviews were recorded and the data analysis carried out was anchored in Mikhail Bakhtin's discourse theory. It was observed that attitudinal accessibility is considered the most important type of accessibility to be promoted in museums. The training of mediators for inclusion and accessibility of people with disabilities is still insufficient, despite being essential for this process. Therefore, for the necessary changes for the inclusion and accessibility of people with disabilities to happen effectively in these spaces, people with disabilities need to be heard and be protagonists in training actions, as well as participate in museums, not only as an audience, but as part of the teams.
