| Abstract in Portuguese | Este artigo propõe analisar o quanto a nova configuração do tempo numa era de captação e veiculação de informações cada vez mais rápidas afeta a prática e a saúde do jornalista contemporâneo. Utiliza como protocolo metodológico uma pesquisa de natureza teórica, fundamentada em revisão bibliográfica que abarca a história do jornalismo na interface com a literatura, a sociologia e a psicodinâmica do trabalho. O objetivo é refletir sobre as condições de trabalho do jornalista de hoje, buscando no passado, através da narrativa da crônica, indícios de sua experiência pioneira com o tempo e o seu labor. Espera-se que tal estudo contribua para ampliar as bases teóricas e epistemológicas no campo do jornalismo e reflita sobre a prática, a saúde e a vida mental do jornalista. | en_US |

| Abstract | This article proposes to analyze how much the new configuration of the time, in an age when captation and propagation of information are more and more fast, affects the practical and the health of the contemporary journalist. The methodological protocol used here is a research of theoretical nature, based on a bibliographical revision that includes the history of the journalism in the interface with the literature, the sociology and the psychodynamic of the work. The objective is to reflect on the working conditions of the journalist of today, searching, through the narrative of the chronicle, indications of his pioneering experience with the time and his work in the past. The expectation is that such study contributes to extend the theoretical and epistemological bases in the field of the journalism and reflects about the practice, the health and the mental life of the journalist. | en_US |
