| Abstract in Portuguese | A trajetória centenária Fundação Oswaldo Cruz em pesquisa em saúde propiciou à instituição compor uma coleção de obras raras que se constitui como uma memória científica ímpar no país, e se apresenta como fonte privilegiada para estudos de várias naturezas no campo da Ciência da Informação. A gestão das coleções e o processo de recuperação da informação se tornaram uma tarefa complexa diante da grande e variada oferta de formatos analógicos e digitais, atualmente disponíveis. Sintonizado com a política de informação que orienta o fortalecimento do Repositório Institucional da Fiocruz, ARCA, o objetivo do estudo aqui relatado foi construir um padrão de metadados para descrever obras raras, tendo com padrão de referência o modelo Dublin Core com vistas a disponibilizar para a comunidade cientifica uma valiosa fonte de informação. | en_US |

| Abstract | The centennial trajectory of Oswaldo Cruz Foundation on research in the area of health it propitiated the institution of constitute a collection of rare books, that if constitutes like single scientific memory in the country, and if presents as privileged source studies in the field of Information Science. The management of the collections and the process of recuperation of information became a complex task before the great and varied offer available analogical and digital formats. Tuned with the information politics that guides the strengthen of the Institucional Repository of the Fiocruz, ARCA, the objective this study was to construct a standard of metadata for describing rare books, having with reference standard the Dublin Core model with intention the to make available to the scientific community a valuable source of information. | en_US |
