| Abstract in Portuguese | Fruto de iniciativas destinadas à constituição de fontes de pesquisa histórica e à preservação da memória institucional da Fiocruz, o núcleo inicial do acervo arquivístico de valor permanente e histórico sob a guarda do Departamento de Arquivo e Documentação da Casa de Oswaldo Cruz (DAD/COC) formou-se em 1986. Hoje, esse acervo, disponível para consulta, é composto por mais de 110 fundos e coleções – com documentos institucionais e pessoais dos gêneros textual, iconográfico, sonoro, cartográfico, micrográfico, filmográfico e tridimensional, datados predominantemente nos séculos 19 e 20 – e por fontes relativas à formação do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), compondo um repositório singular da memória e da história da saúde no Brasil. | en_US |

| Abstract | As a result of initiatives aimed at establishing historical research sources and preserving Fiocruz's institutional memory, the initial core of the archival collection of permanent and historical value under the custody of the Department of Archives and Documentation of the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz (DAD/COC) was formed in 1986. Today, this collection, available for consultation, consists of more than 110 funds and collections - with institutional and personal documents of the textual, iconographic, sound, cartographic, micrographic, filmographic and three-dimensional genres, dating predominantly from the centuries 19 and 20 – and by sources related to the formation of the Unified Health System (SUS), composing a unique repository of the memory and history of health in Brazil. | en_US |
