| Abstract in Portuguese | A hospitalização do recém-nascido na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal altera toda a perspectiva da mãe que idealizou um bebê perfeito e, com isso tem-se a barreira física e pode ter a relacional dificultando em diferentes graus o vínculo entre a mãe e bebê. O estado de saúde do RN, o tempo de internação e as condições do ambiente, podem prejudicar a aproximação e a autonomia materna. Objetivo: analisar a perspectiva da
autonomia materna durante a hospitalização do neonato na Unidade de Internação Neonatal. Descrever os aspectos que dificultam a permanência da mãe nas unidades de internação neonatal. Verificar as boas práticas para o exercício da autonomia materna durante o período de internação de seu recém-nascido no campo da assistência em saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura. Realizada nos meses de
agosto e setembro de 2023, nas bases de dados BVS e SCIELO. Os descritores utilizados foram Comportamento Materno, Mãe, Relação mãe-filho, UTI Neonatal, utilizando operadores booleanos. Os artigos incluídos foram definidos pelos últimos 5 anos, similaridade ao tema e idioma português. Os excluídos na revisão foram artigos
superiores a 5 anos, publicações que não estavam no idioma português e artigos que não compreendessem o objetivo do estudo. Resultados: A literatura aponta que as boas práticas nas Unidades de Internação Neonatal favorecem o fortalecimento do vínculo entre mãe e bebê. Os assuntos foram categorizados: Sentimentos, expectativas e vínculo, Construindo relações, Casa da Puérpera/ Gestante e o Método Canguru. Conclusão: A autonomia materna é facilitada quando a instituição e os profissionais de saúde promovem o acolhimento da família junto ao cuidado com o neonato. Assim, a cultura hospitalar tem relação direta com o protagonismo ou afastamento materno. | en_US |

| Abstract | The hospitalization of the newborn in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit alters the entire perspective of the mother who idealized a perfect baby, with the potential to hinder the bond between mother and baby. In addition, the newborn's health status, length of hospital stay, and environmental conditions may impair maternal closeness and autonomy. Objective: To analyze the perspective of maternal autonomy during the hospitalization of the newborn in the Neonatal Inpatient Unit. To describe the aspects that hinder the mother's permanence in neonatal hospitalization units. To verify the good practices for the exercise of maternal autonomy during the period of hospitalization of her newborn in the field of health care. Methodology: This is an integrative literature
review. Carried out in August and September 2023, in the VHL and SCIELO databases. The descriptors used were Maternal Behavior, Mother, Mother-child relationship, Neonatal ICU, using Boolean operators. The articles included were defined by the last 5 years, similarity to the theme and Portuguese language. Those excluded from the review were articles older than 5 years, publications that were not in Portuguese and articles that did not understand the objective of the study. Results: The literature points out that good practices in Neonatal Inpatient Units favor the strengthening of the bond between mother and baby. The subjects were categorized: Feelings, expectations and bonding, Building relationships, Postpartum/Pregnant Women's House and the Kangaroo Method. Conclusion: Maternal autonomy is facilitated when the institution and health professionals promote family embracement along with care for the newborn. Thus, hospital culture has a direct relationship with maternal protagonism or withdrawal. | en_US |
