| Abstract | This dossier is composed of collaborations whose theoretical and methodological concerns explore a vast universe that is structured by ideas, social subjects and healing practices
which are typical of certain therapeutic markets of the 19th and 20th centuries. As the reader will see, this compendium presents seven papers, each of which discusses the itineraries of people who made use of multiple resources - and developed varied strategies - to apply cures of various kinds and to improve the health conditions of the population in Argentina and Brazil. Convergently these contributions place in analytical perspective the interconnections and ties between knowledge, materialities and therapeutic activities that are discussed on both sides of the Atlantic and that have been considered particularly rich. | en_US |
| xmlui.metadata.dc.description.abstractes | El presente dossier cuenta con colaboraciones cuyas preocupaciones teórico- metodológicas reponen un vasto universo vertebrado por ideas, sujetos y prácticas curativas propias de determinados mercados terapéuticos durante los siglos XIX y XX. Como se verá en las páginas siguientes, el compendio presenta siete escritos que abonan en discusiones vinculadas a los derroteros de personajes que hicieron uso de múltiples recursos -y desarrollaron las más variadas estrategias- para ejercer curaciones de diversa índole y mejorar las condiciones de salud de la población en Argentina y Brasil. De manera convergente, se han considerado particularmente ricas aquellas contribuciones que colocan en perspectiva analítica las interconexiones/relaciones entre conocimientos, materialidades y actividades terapéuticas discutidas y/o disruptivas en ambos lados del Atlántico. | en_US |
