| Abstract in Portuguese | Este artigo apresenta os principais resultados obtidos pela pesquisa que tem como objetivo principal conhecer a percepção do público infantil a respeito do espetáculo teatral Curumim quer música! - que integra a programação do Ciência em Cena/Museu da Vida/COC/Fiocruz. A atividade investigada tem como proposta estimular a observação, a imaginação e a criatividade das crianças por meio da experiência artística teatral; abordar de forma introdutória o conceito de som e propriedades sonoras; e o fomentar a reflexão sobre preservação ambiental. A amostra foi composta por 182 crianças que, em visita escolar, participaram da pesquisa. Desse total, foram coletados e analisados 176 desenhos elaborados pelas crianças. Os registros trouxeram um manancial de informações e achados, apontando que o espetáculo foi bem aproveitado cognitiva, sensorial e emocionalmente pela faixa etária de seis a nove anos investigada na pesquisa. Este estudo visa contribuir para a geração de conhecimento no campo das pesquisas de público em museus e fornecer informações para os profissionais da área de educação em museus, divulgação e popularização da ciência. | en_US |

| Abstract | This article presents the main results obtained by the research which has as main objective to know the children’s perception of the theater activity Curumim quer música! (Child wants music!) - that integrates the programming of Ciência em Cena - Museu da Vida (Museu of Life), COC / Fiocruz. The investigated drama activity aims to stimulate the observation, imagination and creativity of children through theatrical artistic experience; to approach the concept of sound and sound properties and environmental preservation in an introductory way. The sample consisted of 182 children who, during a school visit, participated in the research. Of this total, 176 drawings made by the children were collected and analyzed. The analysis of the drawings was carried out in a qualitative way, using an inductive methodology, a process in which the categories arise from elements contained in the drawings themselves, related to the visitor’s museum experience: the representation of characteristic elements of the activity; affective dimensions of interaction with the activity; use of written language in drawings; and impressions from other areas of the museum visit. The records brought a wealth of information and findings, pointing out that the theatre activity was well used cognitively, sensorial and emotionally by the age group of six to nine years investigated in the research.
