ÁGUA PARA HEMODIÁLISE NO ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIRO: UMA AVALIAÇÃO DOS DADOS GERADOS PELO PROGRAMA DE MONITORAMENTO DA QUALIDADE NOS ANOS DE 2006-2007

A incidência e a prevalência de pacientes com IRC vem aumentando progressivamente no Brasil e no mundo. A hemodiálise — uma das modalidades de tratamento disponíveis mais empregadas — é em grande parte responsável pelo aumento da expectativa de vida desses pacientes. Para o procedimento é necessário um elevado volume de água que — se não tratada adequadamente – pode causar complicações pela presença de contaminantes de baixo peso molecular passíveis de atravessar a membrana dialisadora e alcançar a corrente sangüínea. A qualidade da água purificada é monitorada através de análises químicas e microbiológicas. Portanto, a manutenção adequada e o controle constante dos sistemas de tratamento são fundamentais para que a água obtida esteja dentro dos padrões recomendados. Os sistemas de tratamento de água das 82 unidades de diálise em funcionamento no estado do Rio de Janeiro, cadastradas na CVS, foram avaliados durante as inspeções sanitárias no período de 2006 a 2007 — com coleta de amostras para análise fiscal. No presente estudo, avaliamos a distribuição percentual dos resultados de análises fiscais da água em relação ao perfil das unidades e ao cumprimento das exigências de controle e manutenção dos sistemas de tratamento. Tal avaliação nos permitiu chegar a alguns resultados importantes. A metade das unidades públicas de diálise avaliadas apresentou resultados insatisfatórios nas análises realizadas pelo INCQS em 2007. As duas únicas unidades de diálise com deionização em 2006 tiveram resultados insatisfatórios. Em 2007 todas as unidades do estado do Rio de Janeiro já possuíam sistema de tratamento da água por osmose reversa. As unidades que mantinham a manutenção do sistema de tratamento apenas com empresa terceirizada apresentaram resultados insatisfatórios pronunciadamente maiores do que as unidades que mantinham manutenção própria. Pudemos concluir que a evolução tecnológica, por si só, não é capaz de garantir a qualidade da água para hemodiálise, sendo necessário também estratégias para o adequado controle e manutenção dos sistemas de tratamento, com o atendimento integral às exigências da legislação brasileira.
