A história da abertura da Avenida Brasil está diretamente vinculada ao processo de expansão do Rio de Janeiro para as áreas de periferia da cidade, ocorrido na primeira metade do século XX, face ao desenvolvimento das economias urbanas e da industrialização da nação brasileira.
Abstract
The history of the opening of the Avenue Brazil is directly linked to the expansion process of the Rio de Janeiro to the areas on the periphery of the city, it occurred in the first half of the twentieth century due to the development of urban economies and industrialization of the Brazilian nation.
