O uso de plantas medicinais é milenar, entretanto, desde o início deste século, tem ocorrido um crescente interesse pelo estudo de espécies vegetais e seu uso tradicional em diferentes partes do mundo. As plantas medicinais e seus derivados estão entre os principais recursos terapêuticos da Medicina Tradicional e da Medicina Complementar e Alternativa e vem há muito sendo utilizados pela população brasileira nos seus cuidados com a saúde. O objetivo deste trabalho foi compilar informações relevantes aos profissionais de saúde da atenção primária à saúde legalmente habilitados a prescrever, indicar e orientar os usuários sobre o uso plantas medicinais e fitoterápicos. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa no período de julho a dezembro de 2015. Neste levantamento foi possível encontrar artigos recentes, dos anos de 2013, 2014 e 2015, com abordagem na atenção primária à saúde e o trabalho da equipe multiprofissional com plantas medicinais e fitoterápicos, o que demonstra o interesse em conhecer e discutir esse tema. Nas buscas realizadas para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho, foi possível ainda sistematizar informações sobre as plantas medicinais listadas na Relação Nacional de Medicamentos, complementando os dados existentes na própria relação, como forma de divulgação de informações que auxiliem os profissionais de saúde na sua prática de trabalho, contribuindo assim para o uso seguro e racional das plantas medicinais e fitoterápico. Foi possível verificar ainda, que a falta de conhecimento evidenciada se deve a deficiência nas grades curriculares que não apresentam a disciplina Fitoterapia e ainda o desconhecimento sobre as políticas que implantam e orientam os serviços de saúde do Sistema Único de Saúde para as terapias tradicionais.
Abstract
The use of medicinal plants is old, however, since the beginning of this century, there has been growing interest in the study of plant species and their traditional use in different parts of the world. Medicinal plants and its derivatives are among the main therapeutic resources of Medicine Traditional and Complementary and Alternative Medicine and have long been used by the Brazilian population in their health care. The objective of this study was to gather information relevant health professionals from primary health care legally empowered to prescribe, display and guide users on the use of medicinal plants and phytotherapy. Therefore, an integrative review was carried out from July to December 2015. In this survey was to find recent articles, the years 2013, 2014 and 2015, with approach to primary health care and the work of the multidisciplinary team with medicinal plants and phytotherapy, which shows the interest in learning and discuss this issue. In searches carried out for the
development of this work, it was also possible to systematize information about medicinal plants listed in National Relationship Drugs, complementing the existing data on the relationship own, as a means of disseminating information to assist health professionals in their work practice, thus contributing for the safe and rational use of phytotherapy and medicinal plants. It observed also that the lack of knowledge shown is due to deficiency in the curricular that do not have Phytotherapy discipline
and even ignorance about the policies that implement and guide of Health System Health and health services to traditional therapies.
