Abstract
The last instar larvae of the grasshopper-hunting solitary wasps Prionyx thomae
(Fabricius, 1775) and P. fervens (Linnaeus, 1758) are described based on specimens
collected in southeastern Brazil. The morphology was studied using both optical
and scanning electronic microscope. Some remarkable characters found in the last
instar larvae of the genus are discussed.
