O presente estudo visa apresentar um panorama atual da Vigilância em
Saúde do Trabalhador no Brasil. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica e
documental com o intuito de traçar a emergência e consolidação do campo da
Saúde do Trabalhador, no âmbito da construção do conhecimento e das
práticas desenvolvidas. São discutidos os principais desafios e condicionantes
desse contexto, e são apresentados os avanços e potenciais para a
consolidação da área. Percebe-se que a Vigilância em Saúde do Trabalhador
ainda está distante do marco teórico desenvolvido pela área. Os maiores
obstáculos dizem respeito às relações intrasetoriais e intersetoriais,
principalmente no que tange à participação dos trabalhadores nesse processo.
Abstract
The present study aims to present an overview of current workers' health
surveillance in Brazil. It was developed a bibliographical and documentation
research in order to trace the emergence and consolidation of the field of
workers ' health in the context of the construction of knowledge and practices. Are discussed the main challenges and constraints of this context, and are presented the progress and potential for the consolidation of the area. It is noticed that the workers' health surveillance is still far from the theoretical framework developed by area. The biggest obstacles relate to relations between sectors, mainly with respect to the participation of the workers in this process.
