Abstract: The network of bidirectional interactions between the neuroendocrine and immune systems, essential “circuits” required for the homeostatic regulation of the organism, is now well defined. Accordingly, any imbalance in these physiological circuits can trigger or modulate a number of diseases; conversely, a number of diseases can affect these same circuits.... (AU)
