Abstract
A fatal case of aminiotic fluid infusion is reported. The patient was found shocked shortly after delivery and died one hour after. No hemorrhagic symptoms usually present in this syndrome could be detected. Diagnosis was based on microscopic examination. Elements of amniotic fluid were seen into the vessels of the lungs, liver, kidneys and brain. A brief revision of the special literature is added, which proved that the first observation about this subject was made by Juvenal Ricardo Meyer, a Brazilian pathoilogist.
