Experiência em desenvolvimento foi interrompida, em 2003 e retomada pela RedEscola em 2013. Acreditação Pedagógica de cursos lato sensu em saúde pública, na Rede Brasileira de Escolas de Saúde Pública – RedEscola. Apresentar a concepção e organização do Sistema de Acreditação Pedagógica, coordenado pela RedEscola, implantado com o apoio da École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique – EHESP, em parceria com a ABRASCO e a participação das instituições formadoras integrantes da RedEscola. Acreditação Pedagógica (AP) refere-se ao reconhecimento da qualidade de cursos de especialização lato sensu, na área de Saúde Pública. Foi criado um grupo de trabalho (GT-Acreditação) que recuperou, atualizou, elaborou, testou, validou materiais e fluxos que compõem a caixa de ferramentas da AP. Implantada em parceria com a ABRASCO, avalia as dimensões: gerencial, pedagógica e de infraestrutura. As avaliações positivas dos gestores, dos docentes, dos alunos e outros atores beneficiários das instituições que integram o processo de acreditação pedagógica, atestam resultados muito positivos, em função da grande mobilização gerada nas escolas, em função do relatório de autoavaliação, e sobretudo pelo fato de instaurar uma cultura da qualidade nas instituições formadoras. Foram acreditados três cursos e outros 3 estão em fase de finalização do processo de acreditação. Apesar dos inegáveis resultados encontrados, esse processo precisa ampliar sua abrangência. A validação dos instrumentos, procedimentos e fluxos, após sua aplicação, torna-se imprescindível. Importante também é a formação de avaliadores externos, do comitê de experts de acreditação e da secretaria técnica executiva, para que o processo ganhe legitimidade e confiança e alcance o objetivo de qualificar os processos formativos para o fortalecimento do Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS. A RedEscola juntamente com ABRASCO cumprem um papel importante de mobilização das escolas de saúde pública para processos de acreditação, como estratégia de fortalecimento do SUS. A avaliação dessa experiência torna-se imperiosa para a validação e institucionalização da AP. O apoio do Ministério da Saúde continua sendo fundamental para incorporação de uma cultura de qualidade nos processos formativos no e para o SUS.
