O trabalho em questão retrata a circulação do comércio de gêneros medicinais, também chamados remédios entre as diferentes regiões da América portuguesa e a rede de comércio existente a cidade portuária do Rio de Janeiro e os comerciantes de remédios estabelecidos em Portugal no século XVIII.
Abstract
The work in question portrays the circulation of the trade in medicinal products, also called medicines, between the different regions of Portuguese America and the existing trade network in the port city of Rio de Janeiro and the traders of medicines established in Portugal in the 18th century.
