Os artigos reunidos no dossiê ‘Medicina, Saúde e Doenças na História’ contemplam uma parcela abrangente da literatura produzida no Brasil, as tendências de investigação e metodologias aplicadas pelos historiadores. Os autores dos artigos que compõem o dossiê discutem os significados históricos da medicina, saúde e doenças, seja no século XIX seja no XX, abarcando os diversos estilos, objetos e narrativas que propõem compreender as tensões entre os impactos sociais das doenças e as ações de saúde pública.
Abstract
The articles gathered in the dossier 'Medicine, Health and Diseases in History' cover a comprehensive portion of the literature produced in Brazil, research trends and methodologies applied by historians. The authors of the articles that make up the dossier discuss the historical meanings of medicine, health and diseases, whether in the 19th or 20th century, covering the different styles, objects and narratives that propose to understand the tensions between the social impacts of diseases and the actions of public health.
