Recentemente, ganhou grande repercussão a iniciativa do Ministério da Saúde de não divulgar os boletins epidemiológicos diários da doença, sob a argumentação de que seria necessário realizar uma recontagem dos casos e verificar possíveis erros de notificação[i]. Somado a isso, em mais de uma situação, o Ministério da Saúde realizou correções no número de mortes divulgadas, sempre reduzindo o dado diário.
Abstract
Recently, the initiative of the Ministry of Health not to publish the daily epidemiological bulletins of the disease gained great repercussion, under the argument that it would be necessary to carry out a recount of cases and check for possible reporting errors[i]. Added to this, in more than one situation, the Ministry of Health made corrections to the number of deaths reported, always reducing the daily data.
