A obra em questão é fruto de sua dissertação de Mestrado com leves alterações com relação ao conteúdo, porém com substanciosa adequação da linguagem. Tendo como uma de suas principais contribuições a discussão sobre os embates envolvendo os agentes religiosos, a opinião pública baiana e portuguesa e os agentes do governo metropolitano. Outro ponto interessante é a inserção do autor em um debate que há bastante tempo vem mobilizando acadêmicos, intelectuais e agentes ligados as ordens.
Abstract
The work in question is the result of his Master's thesis with slight changes regarding the content, but with substantial adaptation of the language. One of its main contributions is the discussion of clashes involving religious agents, Bahian and Portuguese public opinion and agents of the metropolitan government. Another interesting point is the author's insertion in a debate that has been mobilizing academics, intellectuals and agents linked to the orders for a long time.
