Este artigo analisa as edições da revistaEducação, periódico da Associação Brasileira de Educação (ABE), publicadas entre 1939 e 1943. Lançada em 1939, ela tinha por objetivos divulgar as atividades da ABE e ampliar os debates educacionais no país. O intuito deste trabalho é discutir como a Segunda Guerra e a nacionalização dos estrangeiros, empreendida pelo Estado Novo, repercutiram nas páginas da revista. Além da relação entre a ABE e o regime, constatou-se uma ênfase nos temas indicados, especialmente, após a entrada do Brasil no conflito.
Abstract
This article analyzes the editions of journal Educação, journal ofAssociação Brasileira de Educação (ABE), published between 1939 and 1943. Launched in 1939, it aimed to publicize the association’s activities and expand Educational debates in the country. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the Second War and the nationalization of immigrants, undertaken by the New State, reverberate in the pages of journal. In addition to the relationship between the ABE and the regime, it was possible to note the emphasis on the topics indicated, especially after Brazil’s entryinto the conflict.
