A análise do perfil epidemiológico da hanseníase no município do Paulista, Pernambuco, tem grande importância para entender como a doença se comportou ao longo dos anos, contribuindo com o conhecimento da situação de saúde da população, fornecendo informações que possam ajudar o enfrentamento da problemática e subsídio no planejamento de ações e estratégias a serem adotadas no município. Considerando o período de 2011 a 2020, foram utilizados dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação - Sinan, referentes a hanseníase, de pessoas residentes no município do Paulista. A coleta dos dados foi realizada no Departamento de Informática do SUS (DATASUS), via Tabnet e para análise dos dados foram utilizadas planilhas eletrônicas para construção de tabelas e gráficos. Em Paulista, foram notificados entre os anos de estudo 958 casos de hanseníase. Do total de casos, 50,2% eram homens, 10% do total de casos ocorreram em menores de 15 anos, 42% das pessoas eram pardas, 14,6% possuíam ensino médio completo, 63,36% possuíam a doença na forma multibacilar, 41,1% possuíam lesões de forma clínica dimorfa, 46,6% das pessoas foram avaliadas no diagnóstico da hanseníase com grau zero de comprometimento neural. No período do estudo, a partir do ano de 2015 houve um aumento expressivo de casos novos diagnosticados com grau II de incapacidade física, uma redução na proporção de cura entre os casos novos e uma oscilação de abandonos, com destaque nos últimos três anos do estudo, onde a grande variação tende para um aumento no número de abandonos. A hanseníase ainda se apresenta como um agravo de saúde pública. No município do Paulista os dados são preocupantes, considerando diversos achados no estudo realizado, é essencial que o agravo seja visto como prioridade pelos gestores, com melhor organização de planos e metas ampliadas, subsidiando tomadas de decisão e execução de atividades.
Abstract
The analysis of the epidemiological profile of leprosy in the city of Paulista, Pernambuco, is of great importance to understand how the disease has behaved over the years, contributing to knowledge of the health situation of the population, providing information that can help to face the problem and subsidy in the planning of actions and strategies to be adopted in the municipality. Considering the period from 2011 to 2020, data from the Notifiable Disease Information System - Sinan, referring to leprosy, from people residing in the city of Paulista were used. Data collection was carried out at the Department of Informatics of the SUS (DATASUS), via Tabnet and for data analysis, electronic spreadsheets were used to construct tables and graphs. In Paulista, 958 cases of leprosy were reported between the years studied. Of the total cases, 50.2% were men, 10% of the cases occurred in children under 15 years of age, 42% of the people were brown, 14.6% had completed high school, 63.36% had the disease in the form multibacillary, 41.1% had dimorphous clinical lesions, 46.6% of people were evaluated at the diagnosis of leprosy with zero degree of neural involvement. During the study period, from 2015 onwards, there was a significant increase in new cases diagnosed with degree II of physical disability, a reduction in the proportion of cures among new cases and an oscillation of dropouts, especially in the last three years of the study. , where the large variation tends towards an increase in the number of dropouts. Leprosy still presents itself as a public health problem. In the city of Paulista, the data are worrisome, considering several findings in the study carried out, it is essential that the problem is seen as a priority by managers, with better organization of plans and expanded goals, supporting decision-making and execution of activities.
