ESPECIALIZAÇÃO EM ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS E MATEMÁTICA: UM ESTUDO DE DEMANDA

O presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar a demanda que professores apresentam
em relação a um curso de especialização em Ensino de Ciências e Matemática (EECM)
com vistas a contribuir para a efetiva elaboração e oferta desse curso. Este trabalho de
conclusão de curso apresenta e discute os resultados de uma pesquisa de demanda que
foi desenvolvida no âmbito da criação de uma especialização no Instituto Federal do
Rio de Janeiro, campus Paracambi. Foi criado um instrumento de produção de dados,
um questionário (Google formulários) que foi distribuído por meio das redes sociais no
período de 24 de junho e 08 de julho de 2022, alcançando um total de 61 respondentes
dos quais 73% eram docentes da educação básica. Os resultados demonstram que a
grande maioria dos respondentes apresenta interesse em fazer a especialização em
ensino de ciências e matemática, desde que na modalidade à distância, motivados
principalmente pela necessidade de progressão profissional. O interesse pela
qualificação e capacitação que a formação em questão pode oferecer está
intrinsicamente relacionado a fatores políticos, educacionais e sociais que variam em
cada região, mas segue sendo apontado como uma maneira de progressão na área e em
melhores condições laborais.
Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the demand that teachers present in relation to a
specialization course in Science and Mathematics Teaching (EECM) with a view to
contributing to the effective development and offering of this course. This course
conclusion work presents and discusses the results of a demand survey that was
developed as part of the creation of a specialization at the Federal Institute of Rio de
Janeiro, Paracambi campus. A data production instrument was created, a questionnaire
(Google forms) that was distributed through social networks between June 24 and July
8, 2022, reaching a total of 61 respondents, of which 73% were education teachers.

specializing in science and mathematics teaching, as long as it is done remotely, mainly
motivated by the need for professional progression. The interest in qualification and
training that the training in question can offer is intrinsically related to political,
educational and social factors that vary in each region, but continues to be seen as a way
of progressing in the area and in better working conditions.
