| Abstract | This paper presents the first results of a case study on the role played by four Portuguese alternative press outlets during the recent health crisis. It is based on interviews and an analysis of the coverage of the country's first two months of the COVID-19 pandemic. From a transversal perspective between discourse and practice, it seeks to map the strategies and functions that legitimize the alternative nature of these experiences, while also pointing out the limits and contradictions identified. | en_US |
