Apresenta os primeiros resultados de um estudo de caso sobre o papel desempenhado por quatro veículos da imprensa alternativa portuguesa durante a recente crise sanitária, a partir de entrevistas e da análise da cobertura dos dois primeiros meses da pandemia de Covid-19 no país. Com um olhar transversal entre o discurso e a prática, busca mapear as estratégias e funções desempenhadas que legitimam o caráter alternativo dessas experiências, apontando também os limites e contradições identificados.
Abstract
This paper presents the first results of a case study on the role played by four Portuguese alternative press outlets during the recent health crisis. It is based on interviews and an analysis of the coverage of the country's first two months of the COVID-19 pandemic. From a transversal perspective between discourse and practice, it seeks to map the strategies and functions that legitimize the alternative nature of these experiences, while also pointing out the limits and contradictions identified.
