Abstract in Portuguese | O café é uma das bebidas mais consumidas e apreciadas no mundo. O grão de café é obtido da fruta da planta, um arbusto pequeno, pertencente ao gênero Coffea. Duas espécies têm importância comercial: Coffea arábica e Coffea canephora robusta; conhecidas como arábica e robusta. Cerca de dois terços da espécie Coffea arábica cresce principalmente na América do Sul, América Central e Leste da África (origem deste café). No presente estudo, avaliou-se a contaminação de Enterococcus faecalis em amostras de café torrado e moído comercializado na cidade do Rio de janeiro, através de análises microbiológicas. | pt_BR |

Abstract | The coffee is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world and appreciated. The coffee bean is derived from the fruit of the plant, a small shrub belonging to the genus Coffea. Two species have commercial importance: Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora robusta; known as arabica and robusta. About two thirds of the species Coffea arabica grows mainly in South America, Central America and East Africa (the origin of this coffee).
