Formulações de liberação prolongada de quinina para tratamento da malária desenvolvidas sob forma de matrizes hidrofílicas (HPMC K4M, Dow Chemical) e matrizes inertes (Eudragita NE30D, Rohm Pharma) foram estudadas quanto à velocidade de liberação em aparelho U.S.P e à velocidade de hidratação da matriz em dispositivo especialmente desenvolvido, com o propósito de esclarecer uma mudança de cinética de liberação detectada em matrizes anteriores formuladas com HPMC K15M, que setornou mais linear após reprocessamento industrial (quebra e recompressão)
